As a joint collective impact effort of the City of Santa Fe Mayor’s Children, Youth and Families Community Cabinet, the Mayor’s Youth Advisory Board and the Santa Fe Birth to Career Collaboration (SF B2C), Opportunity Santa Fe brings together a broad cross-section of community leaders, agencies and partners who engage and support children, youth and families.

Leadership, Community and Youth Engagement

Opportunity Santa Fe includes youth and community through the Mayor’s Youth Advisory Board, Collaborative Working Groups and broad community outreach and engagement efforts including community summits and forums.  Monthly open communication meetings welcome all stakeholders. Leadership for the joint collective impact effort is provided by the City of Santa Fe Mayor’s Children, Youth and Families Community Cabinet and the SF B2C Leadership Council representing key anchor institution across birth to career continuum.

Backbone Organizations

Opportunity Santa Fe is supported by two backbone organizations: The Santa Fe Community Foundation and the City of Santa Fe Children & Youth Commission. The Foundation and the City’s Children & Youth Commission provide coordination as well as structural and financial support for the Opportunity Santa Fe effort.

Data Team

Data Team is currently composed of a dedicated B2C Data Analyst, staff representation from Santa Fe Public Schools, Santa Fe Community College and Santa Fe Community Foundation and additional data consultant (from UNM Center for Education Policy Research).  UNM Center for Education Policy Research provided technical assistance during the early phase of the collective impact efforts. Staff from City of Santa Fe Economic Development Department, Santa Fe County and other partner organizations are engaged in data discussions as appropriate. Select work of the Data Team is published through Santa Fe Data Hub.

AmeriCorps VISTA

Additionally, this effort is supported by the work of several AmeriCorps VISTAs, who directly interface with City of Santa Fe, Santa Fe Community Foundation and other partner organizations, service providers and Collaborative Working Groups to align work around Aspirational Goals and Collective Action Plans. Learn more about the current cohort of VISTAs or apply here.
