Santa Fe Mentoring and Tutoring Collaborative

Purpose

SFMTC seeks to bring together agencies involved in youth tutoring and mentoring programs to share resources, streamline efforts, create community awareness, and support the creation of a website with resources for volunteers interested in or involved in mentoring and tutoring.

Accomplishments
  • Convened a meeting in November 2016 for all agencies involved in mentoring and tutoring in Santa Fe
  • Created a website with resources, directory of providers and other supports for agencies and volunteers
  • National Mentoring Month Campaign
  • Collaborative recruiting effort at Inspire Festival 2017
  • Offering training for the staff and volunteers of our partner organizations in Fall 2017
  • Participated in organizing the Opportunity Santa Fe Volunteer Fair

Proposed Scope

  • Convening a meeting for all agencies involved in mentoring and tutoring in Santa Fe
  • Designing, scheduling, marketing and facilitating training workshops for mentors
  • Streamlining recruitment efforts
  • Building community awareness of mentoring and tutoring programs and benefits
  • Convening a city-wide appreciation event for mentors across programs
  • Supporting creation of a website with resources, directory of providers, and other supports for agencies and volunteers
